Accessorize Yourself!

Necklace, earrings, bracelets, anklets - name it from head to toe, there are special accessories to add glamor. Just like your favorite accessories at home or room, girls also have their favorite fashion statement to complete their get up. Lusterforever is just one of the huge sites you can surf from.

My personal choice would always be bracelets because of its simplicity and a touch of femininity every time girls wear it. Silver bracelets are on my top list base on its use since you can have them on anytime and in any occasion. Just like charm bracelets, you can use it everyday, be it in the office, on casuals and even while partying or just having a leisurely walk at the mall. Well lets add the price to that since other silver bracelets have their whooping prizes so better wear it safely or you’ll invite those eyes who enjoys snatching leaving you teary eyed.

Different designs people wear only shows different personality. Other girls prefer leather bracelets; some are gold, pearl, etc. but for me as long as these accessories or jewelries match the outfit and would not be an eyesore, that’s absolutely fine. Be fashionable, be beautiful!

I love music!

Smash the tv but don't ever leave me alone without music in my ears. Ever since I was a kid, I always love music. I love singing, but kind a frustrated in playing some instruments. Well I know to play few keys on guitar, few beats on drums, few widows on keyboards and a bit of flute. Sadly it was all just "a bit". I have been participating in our church's music ministry few years back, that's why I learned to play some instruments, but never professionally. But anyway, at least I know some basics :). I just thought myself how to do it but since I became busy with other stuffs such as work and some other things, I never engaged myself enrolling in some music schools (plus the fact that it's quite costly) Yay!

Still I learn to appreciate music a lot! Whenever I do my errands, I'll be doing it non stop when there's music playing in the background. I love any kinds of music especially when you match it up with your mood, you'll most likely appreciate every beat, melody and lyrics. What I'm doing now? Listening to music launch in YM while writing this article :).

Mom's Day

Mothers's Day is fast approaching. For all those moms out there, let me just greet you an advance warm Mommy's Day! Moms are one of the greatest people on the earth. They might all have their differences, faults or flaws, but we can never hide the fact that we came out from their womb to experience what God has created on this place we called, earth. Let us always look on the brighter side, we live because of them, we were loved because of them. People will turn their backs on you but mothers will not. We may leave them but we're always welcome to come back. Moms are our home, our shelter and our refuge.

Mothers day

Let us appreciate what they've done and what they are so willing to do not just because it's Mother's day. Let us be spontaneous telling them we love them at any time and at any cause. It will never be too late as long as they're here. To my mom, I love you because you're perfectly imperfect! If I may die and live again you will always be the one I would love to run to. Thanks for the One who brought you to our lives. Happy Mother's Day.

MRE: Meals-Ready-to-Eat

A friend from U.S. gave us MRE yesterday. It’s my first time to see one of those and I’m quite excited to see what’s inside the package. I’m really curious about this food’s life span. Imagine you can store it for 10 years! Yes, and even more than that! It has an excellent packaging to withstand rough conditions and exposures to elements. Amazing right? Hmmm ….. I wonder if there could be scarcity of food, people would definitely search for this. Unfortunately these are not available in public and it was also prohibited to sell on Ebay because of the risk from the heaters and matches inside the package. They cannot be shipped by certain carriers. I did some research because I find MRE quite intriguing.

MRE or Meals, Ready-to-Eat is said to be a self contained meals which is the current operational ration for U.S. military. It provides all the necessary nutrition soldier needs to sustain themselves. You will see the nutrition facts on each package. MRE comes with different menus. Currently it has 24 different menus to choose from but they make changes every year.

What’s inside MRE? You will find these things inside the package:

  • The entrée – these are the main course
  • Side dish – it could be rice, potatoes, corn or some other types.
  • Cracker or Bread – I got scone cinnamon last night and cracker w/ apple butter
  • Dessert – cookies or pound cakes
  • Beverages – it maybe a coffee, tea, drink mixes, cocoa or dairy shakes
  • Seasonings – I got cute Tabasco last night J
  • Accessories – condiments such as creamer, sugar, salt, wet wipes, spoon, matches, gums
  • Candies – it could be Skittles, M&Ms, or Tootsie Rolls
  • FRH – Flameless Rational Heater, used to heat the entrée. (The part I’m curious about)
For those who want to find out how FRH works. I searched one from Youtube.

We tried the Cheese and Vegetable Omelet from 2007 menus. It comes with the omelet, hash browns with bacon, toaster pastry crackers, cinnamon scone, apple butter, sugar free beverage, seasonings and accessories.

Disappointed with my ISP

I had my internet connected for almost a month. I just chose the 512 kbps speed instead of a lower one. Before, I used to have a broadband connection from the "S Bro". But after few months of intermittent and super low connection I decided to change it to DSL. An agent came in our village and offers us a promo package which includes a landline and internet connection. They made some credit investigations, ask for some documents, plus some other stuff. At first they promise it will be installed for 3 - 5 days. Unfortunately it was installed after a week. After installing the landline, I waited for 2 days for the dial tone and then other days for the modem. Sigh. That was one fact quite annoying. I never get mad at first. What I did was called their hotlines following up the installation.

After days of browsing, surfing, researching or whatever it is over the internet, I thought I wouldn't have any problems calling them again. Not until my connection became unstable. That was another fact disappointing. I called their hotline and reported about the frustrations I'm going through. Telling them I am totally disappointed of what was happening. I talked to about five customer reps a day just to find results. Then someone from their tech support called me informing that they will reset the port from where I am connected. What comes after that? Just more than one week ZERO connection. Grrrrrr!!!! I was totally pissed off but I still manage to compose myself. From 5 Customer reps a day it became 10. I do work online and a full week no connection is a great loss. It even came to a point that I need to talk to the supervisors, actually two supervisors. I've gone tired hearing the same words from CR's and waiting for nothing (In fact I had memorized their lines). I even demanded them to call me instead me calling them for updates. Well the last supervisor handled my complaint a lot better than the first one, apologizing and empathizing from what had happened. Unfortunately there's nothing they can do but also wait for their technical support for updates of what was really going on. I was so disappointed and I told them that I want to send a complaint letter and refund everything from them and end their service.

Finally a tech supp called and told me that they will transfer my connection to a different port. I told them “that’s what I’ve been telling you before”, after resetting the port and no results, they should have transferred it to a different one. Maybe telling them about the complaint letter got them worried that’s why they decided to make the transfer. Well, I’m quite uncertain about that. I was about looking and inquiring for another ISP when they restored my connection since I’m not satisfied of the speed. I then called their hotline to inform them that upon checking speedtest it only gave me less than 100 kbps. That’s unfair I am paying for a higher fee and that’s only what I get? Well, to wrap things up, my diligence of calling and even startling them resolve my torment. One more anguish and a call awaits them.
